Cody Hudson has a day job as a graphic designer and is also a creative collaborator with several independent brands. He discusses a need to create art even if no one sees it. Cody tours his studio and the city of Chicago, highlighting examples of his favorite work.
Cody introduces us to his side hustle, Land and Sea Department, a collection of friends who had their beginnings in accidentally opening the Michelin star restaurant/bar/hotel Longman & Eagle. Having since opened a fried chicken and fish spot, the collective figured out how to make a living off of personal interests by creating continually varied projects and events.
